Meg Bandarra's pastel was awarded 2nd place in the Friends of the Chicopee Library Fine Art Show. Anne Bagge was awarded 1st place in oil.
Meg Bandarra won 1st place in the Pastel category at the Three County Fair. She has also had a piece accepted into Pastel Renaissance 2017, the CT Pastel Society's National Juried show.
Meg Bandarra won 1st place at the Big E Plein Air Painting Contest. Joanne Tebaldi won second place, plus the Big E special award for the painter determined to have captured the essence of the Big E.
Frank Tencza was accepted into the Academic Artists show and won the Holbein Acrylic Award.
This Spring Meg Bandarra was awarded a workshop scholarship from the Connecticut Pastel Society.
Meg Bandarra had a painting accepted into "For Pastels Only" a national juried exhibition on Cape Cod in June/July.

Meg Bandarra juried into For Pastels Only, the Pastel Painters Society of Cape Cod national juried exhibition that took place in June and July in South Yarmouth.

Jim Gillen’s photograph, Vienna Cart Path, received the Jurors’ Choice Award, the top prize, at the 14th annual Piedmont Photography Show sponsored by the Somers Cultural Council on April 27.
Linda Lastoff was juried into the Plymouth Art Guild as a Russell Gallery Artist This means that her paintings will be hung in their main gallery during their exhibits.
Meg Bandarra's painting, After-hours, won an honorable mention at the Easthampton paint out, a plein air competition and show.

Joyce Emerle won People's Choice Award at Piedmont, Somers, Ct.
Jim Gillen's In the Shadows won one of two Piedmont awards at the 13th annual Piedmont Photography Show sponsored by the Somers Cultural Commission in April. 2013.
WAL April exhibit in honor of Wilbraham's 250 anniversary winners are:
Michael A. Kusek won 1st place for his photo entitled Forgotten in Time.
Dulce Nowak won second prize for Mandrain Iris
Fran Selva won third prize for her handmade basket.
Honorable Mention went to Linda Lastoff for Misty Morning.
Award for People's Choice went to two people each who had the same number of votes: Marie Chivers for Sliding in Fountain Park and Linda Lastoff for Misty Morning.
Lucy Peltier's photo, Mending the Web, won third place in the Nature category at the Friends of the Agawam Public Library Open Juried Photography Show 2013.
Bill Koscher won second place in an art contest at the Cape Coral Art League in December 2012. He entry was one of 49 pieces of various art. This is the fourth time he has won a show in Florida.
Beverlee Corriveau's oil painting, My Peonies, was awarded Honorable Mention at the Agawam Library Art Show in October 2012.

In early August Linda Lastoff was presented with the Mary Barthelson Award for best work in pastel, "Ocean Inlet" at the 56th Regional Exhibit of the Mystic Art Center in Mystic, Connecticut.
Frank Tencza received 4th place for his painting of his toy locomotive in Christmas 1952 at the Connecticut Academy of Fine Arts, Mystic, Ct. in May 2012.
Ray Hunt entered three carvings in the Monson Woodwackers Club's Ninth Annual Wood Carving Show on May 5, 2012. His Carolina Wren and Green-Winged Teal Drake took blue ribbons. Congratulations, Ray!
Congratulations to Beverlee Corriveau. She was awarded 2nd place in oil/acrylic in the TVAA spring member show.
Joyce Emerle won the Piedmont Award for her yellow rose photograph at the Piedmont photography show in Somers.
Just a note to say the Koschers have been active with the arts in Florida with great success. Bill has won two honorable mentions and a second place for his photography of New Orleans and Venice. Betsy has won an honorable mention and a first place in sculpture category for her clay osprey.

Viola Petrolati was awarded 1st Prize in the Watercolors category for Old Country Road at the Sadie and Eli Gurvitch Senior Adult Art Exhibit at the Jewish Community Center.
Linda Lastoff's pastel painting Fox was awarded 2nd Place in Pastels People's Choice and Honorable Mention in the Agawam Library Art Show.
The Piedmont Show in Somers, Ct. in October honored two of our members for their works. Frank Tencza received the Award of Merit for his painting Old Steel and New Oak. Kris Crimmins' abstract painting Red Roses, a monoprint in oil, was awarded an Honorable Mention.
The Chicopee Library Show awarded Linda Lastoff
Honorable Mention for Cherry Blossoms in Pastel. They also awarded Fran Levesque Honorable Mention for her watercolor No Two Alike.
At the Blandford Show Fran Levesque received 4th Place for her watercolor Whispering Woods. Frank Tencza received 3rd Place in acrylics and People’s Choice for Old Steel and New Oaks.

Frank W. Tencza won First Place in Acrylics at the 2nd Annual Juried Art Show at the Agawam Public Library. His entry was a 16"X20" painting titled "Lefty's Saddle."

FRAN SELVA WINS BASKETRY AWARDS
Fran won two first place awards in the basket category at the Eastern State Exposition recently. Fran won a first place and best of division award in the Creative Arts Exhibit at the Big E for her basket "In Flight," a tote basket. The other first place award was for "Metcalf Bowl," a brightly colored shallow bowl.

Beverlee Corriveau won second place in the Mixed Media category with her pastel painting "Sunflowers".
Frank Tencza won three awards for his paintings in the Acrylic category. "Under Reduced Sail" came in second, "Old Saddle" came in third and "Still Life With Small Table" placed fourth.
John Robertson won third place in Mixed Media with his colored pencil drawing "Broken Eggs".
Kris Crimmins won second place in the Oil category with "Lookin' Out Captain Jack's Wharf II".

John Robertson received a third place award for his drawing: “Drinking Fountain in Rome”. Tobacco Valley Art League in Somers, Ct. held a competition at the Chicopee Library and there were 53 entries total and 17 in the mixed media area. John won in the category of mixed media. Congratulations John!
Harriette Block received first place during the same competition in mixed media for her artwork entitled “Story Teller.” Her artwork was created in silver point. Congratulations Harriette!
